How to use the Amsler Grid

Cover one eye. Hold the card directly in front of your uncovered eye. Look at the center spot. Note any irregularities such as wavy lines, or grey or fuzzy areas. Rotate the card 90 degrees and repeat. Then do the same for your other eye. Call your ophthalmologist and report any irregular findings.
